57 English 13th-Century Polyphony

A full-colour facsimile in large format of sources of thirteenth-century polyphony, edited by William J. Summers and Peter M. Lefferts. This volume brings together the many fragments of English polyphony from the long reigns of Henry III and Edward I into one volume, including the dislocated remnants of three substantial codices (the 'Worcester fragments'). Among nearly 350 colour plates can be found the famous Reading Rota (British Library, Harley 978).
